2023 Global Health Impact Report

2023 was a pivotal year for USP’s global health programs. We worked in 56 countries to strengthen supply chains and advance our goals of improving availability and affordability of quality-assured medical products for millions of people worldwide.

Through the support of key donors including the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and others, we:

  • strengthened 22 national medicines regulatory authorities
  • supported 23 national control and diagnostic laboratories to meet global standards
  • advanced quality production with 36 manufacturers for 50 medical products

But, our milestones and achievements go beyond just numbers.

As a science-based, international nonprofit organization, USP increases the supply of safe and effective medicines, vaccines, and trusted diagnostics. Our work strengthens health systems and delivers end-to-end pharmaceutical services that champion equitable access to quality medical products worldwide.

200 years building trust in the supply of safe, quality-assured medical products.
