Reason for Revision: Compliance
In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the 2010–2015 Council of Experts, the Monographs—Small Molecules 1 Expert Committee has revised the Valacyclovir Tablets monograph. The purpose of this revision is to add Dissolution Test 2 for a generic product approved by the FDA. Minor corrections were made to clarify the terms in the formula for Dissolution Test 1 and Procedure for Content Uniformity.
The Valacyclovir Tablets Revision Bulletin supersedes the currently official monograph and will be incorporated in the USP 36–NF 31.
