
Sue Peschin is an experienced and influential patient advocacy leader who has made significant contributions to research and policy making on aging and Alzheimer’s-related issues. Having served on the USP Council of the Convention, she shares USP’s belief that solutions are more meaningful and impactful when informed by a variety of experiences and perspectives. As Public Trustee on USP’s Board, she will help shape USP’s direction during the 2025-2030 cycle to ensure that USP continues to fulfill its mission through collaboration with global experts in science, regulation, and healthcare.
As President and CEO of the Alliance for Aging Research, Sue successfully led efforts to substantially increase federal investment for aging and Alzheimer’s research. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President of Public Policy at the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America driving impactful policy change including advocacy that led to passage of ACA health reform provisions for individuals with dementia and family caregivers.
In 2025 Washingtonian Magazine named Sue as one of the 500 most influential people shaping public policy. In 2024, she received the Leadership in Equity Award from the National Minority Quality Forum Institute on Equity, and in 2022, the Research!America Paul G. Rogers Distinguished Organization Advocacy Award on behalf of the Alliance for Aging Research.
