With two decades of volunteer leadership at USP, Hanan Sboul will apply her knowledge of the organization along with her broad experience as a pharmacist, regulatory expert, and association CEO to her role as President of USP’s Board of Trustees. Working with USP leadership, she will help guide USP’s strategy to strengthen the global supply chain and help ensure ongoing access to quality medicines for the people who depend on them.
Prior to becoming Board President, Hanan served on the USP Council of the Convention and chaired the USP Convention Middle East and North Africa Regional Chapter, facilitating significant engagements with industry, regulators, and stakeholders. Hanan also served as Chair of the Council of the Convention Membership Committee.
Hanan’s career began at the Jordan Food and Drug Administration where she developed and implemented key pharmaceutical regulations. She served as Deputy Chief of Party and Senior Pharmacist at Abt Associates, promoting access to quality health products and services, with a particular focus on access for women.
As Secretary General of the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Hanan’s leadership has fostered collaboration among industry leaders, regulators, and academia which has played a pivotal role in enhancing regulatory compliance and quality standards.
