In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the 2005–2010 Council of Experts, the General Aerosols Expert Committee has indefinitely postponed the official dates of the Helium, Nitrous Oxide, Nitrogen, and Nitrogen 97 Percent Monographs. These revised monographs were published in USP 28–NF 23 First Supplement with an official date of April 1, 2005. The monographs are postponed in order to provide the Aerosols Expert Committee additional time to consider the comments that were received on the revised monographs and to evaluate some of the revised tests, procedures, and acceptance criteria in the revised Monographs.

USP will publish, if necessary, additional proposed revisions in a future issue of Pharmacopeial Forum for public review and comment.
