In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the 2010–2015 Council of Experts, the General Chapters—Dosage Forms Expert Committee has revised General Chapter <711> Dissolution. The purpose for the revision is to remove Chlorpheniramine Maleate Extended-Release Tablets RS from the list of reference standards and from the Apparatus Suitability section. The revision is necessitated by the depletion of the current lot of Chlorpheniramine Maleate Extended-Release Tablets RS and the lack of a replacement lot. USP is in the process of identifying a replacement material that will be suitable to use in the Performance Verification Test for Apparatus 3.

The General Chapter <711> Dissolution Revision Bulletin supersedes the currently official General Chapter <711> Dissolution.  The Revision Bulletin will be incorporated in the Second Supplement to USP 35–NF 30.
