Shipping and Delivery of USP Orders

General Instructions for All Orders

  • USP does not ship any products to post office boxes. Please include a street address or your order will not be processed.
  • If ordering from outside the United States, you are responsible for paying all customs duties, taxes, or tariffs levied for import of USP products.
  • You can request special, guaranteed, same-day shipping for an additional charge of $75.00.
  • You can request shipment on cold packs for an additional charge of $25.00.
  • You may provide your shipping account numbers to have shipping costs charged directly to your account.

Shipping Charges for Reference Standards

USP ships all Reference Standards orders via air courier. The shipping charges shown below are per total order and in U.S. dollars. There will be an additional $200 surcharge per order for controlled substances shipped internationally.

Dangerous Shipments to Algeria, Brazil, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Mexico, and Romania will also have an additional $200 per order surcharge. These charges do not stack, meaning the $200 surcharge is only applied once, even when sending controls and dangerous goods to Mexico, for example.

Shipping Carriers

USP uses DHL as the default shipping carrier because we have negotiated favorable shipping rates with DHL, which we pass on to our customers. However, we use alternative carriers for locations to which there is no DHL service, as listed below. Customers can choose their own carrier by giving USP their DHL, UPS, or FedEx account number when ordering.

Preferred Carriers For Dangerous Goods

Reference Standards that have been classified as dangerous goods have specific requirements for shipping. Please see the lists below to find the preferred carrier for any order that contains a Reference Standard that has been classified as a dangerous good by the United Nations.

DHL remains the default shipper of dangerous goods to any country not listed below.
