Returns, Backorders, Duplicate and Cancelled Orders

Returns

USP Reference Standards may not be returned for refund or exchange.

USP publications and subscriptions may be returned within 30 days from the date of invoicing. USP electronic subscriptions can be cancelled within 30 days of activation—for Internet products, you only need to provide written notice of cancellation to USP. You will receive a refund that excludes any shipping charges.

Backorders

USP will automatically ship any backorder that becomes available within 30 days of the order date. For products that become available after 30 days of ordering, USP will send a Notice of Availability. Customers have 45 days to respond to the notice. If no response is received within this period, the order will be automatically cancelled.

Duplicate Orders

Customers are financially responsible for duplicate orders in the following cases:

  • Confirming orders sent to USP but not clearly marked as confirming.
  • A single order sent to USP multiple times (i.e., via Internet, phone, fax, email, mail, or any combination thereof).

Order Cancellation by USP

Orders that are put on credit hold by USP due to either poor credit record with USP or exceeding the credit limit established by USP must be cleared by customers within 14 days. Otherwise, these orders are automatically cancelled and you must reorder.
