How often are courses updated?
Courses are updated in conjunction with changes and revisions to the USP–NF to reflect new content or when new scientific material warrants.
How is material developed for the courses?
USP experts, in partnership with scientific, training, and education experts, work together to produce timely curriculum.
Instructors are chosen by their expertise on specific subjects, their ability to educate, and their willingness to devote time to collegial education.
Formats
What educational formats are available through USP Pharmacopeial Education?
On–Demand: These are online courses, usually running from 60 to 90 minutes in duration. They focus on specific topics related to the effective implementation and best practices for compliance with USP standards. You may access these courses at anytime and from anywhere as long as you have a computer with Internet access.
Seminars/Workshops: USP's education seminars and or workshops provide an extended forum for in–depth, in–person analysis and discussion with industry experts of current or proposed standards affecting pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharmacists, or other healthcare professionals.
Classroom Instruction: Traditional classroom courses are held periodically at locations around the world. They offer participants with opportunities for hands–on learning of key USP–NF chapter content and procedures and provide personal access to USP experts.
Customized Classroom Instruction: Classroom instruction can be tailored to your specific needs for delivery at your company location.
Registration and Payment
What are the accepted methods of payment?
A. USP Pharmacopeia Education accepts payment by credit card, wire transfer, or check. (Please note: a $20 wire transfer fee will be added at the time of registration to each registration payable by wire transfer to cover the wire transfer fee charged to USP.) Select the "register" option and follow instructions to register and pay online with credit card or other method of payment (note: the "registration" option will not appear if a dated event is not scheduled).

Technical Issues and Requirements
What are the hardware and software requirements for online courses?
To ensure an optimal learning experience, these courses are designed with the following hardware and software minimum requirements:
Hardware requirements
- IntelTM Pentium 200 MHz or higher processor
- Personal computer with network connection or 56K modem for dialup connection (128 bandwidth to be used during pilot module evaluation)
- 96 MB RAM
- 16 bit video card with color monitor or LCD display capable of displaying 16–bit color minimum at 1024 x 768 screen resolution
- Mouse or other pointing device
- 16–bit SoundBlasterTM compatible sound card with speakers or headphones (optional for screens with audio)

- MicrosoftTM Internet Explore for Windows 5.0, 5.5 SP2, 6.x
