USP Seeks Additional Organizational Members for 2005-2010 Council of the Convention—If you would like your organization to be considered for a seat on the 2010–2015 Council of the Convention (CoC), please notify USP Member and Professional Relations by email by December 24, 2010.

In August, Convention President Timothy L. Franson, B.S.Pharm., M.D., in consultation with Executive Vice President-CEO Roger L. Williams, M.D., appointed 12 initial members to the CoC. These appointees represent grandfathered Convention organizations. USP is now seeking potential CoC members from among the newly invited organizations. Your responses will provide candidates for Drs. Franson and Williams to consider as they continue to expand the CoC to its full size.

Council of the Convention—The Bylaws state that the CoC shall be composed of not more than 25 persons who are (i) Delegates or other representatives of Voting Organizational Members, or (ii) Voting At Large Members. The Council shall include at least one Voting Organizational Member representative from each category of Voting Organizational Members specified in Article III, Section 1a(i):

  • Academic institutions, including accredited colleges and schools of allopathic, osteopathic, and veterinary medicine, pharmacy and nursing, and other recognized academic institutions in health and science-related fields, and associations thereof;
