Food Protein WorkshopDeveloping a Toolbox of Analytical Solutions to Address Adulteration OverviewProteins are a nutritious and economically valuable component of food ingredients – which can provide incentive for adulteration. This happened most recently when many children were sickened or died from milk products adulterated with melamine to increase their apparent protein content. Currently used tests did not detect this, and new methods are called for to help prevent another such tragedy. Hear the latest thinking on how to detect falsified protein levels. Join leading domestic and international scientists from the food industry, academia, governments, and trade associations to explore which tools work best to measure food protein. Discuss emerging ways to protect consumers from intentionally contaminated food ingredients, to safeguard your food supply chain, and to protect your brand. Workshop Planning Committee
