Prescription/Non-Prescription (PNP)

The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) held the Prescription/Nonprescription Stakeholder Forum on May 15, 2012 at USP’s Rockville, Maryland, USA headquarters. To expand the opportunity for stakeholder participation, USP offered a web-based component for those who could not attend in person. 

Stakeholders had the opportunity to submit potential agenda topics via email. Stakeholders were encouraged to submit topics of interest related to USP processes and initiatives. 

Stakeholder Forums are held to enable an exchange of information and perspectives, with the ultimate goal of improving USP standards and information. The Prescription/Nonprescription Stakeholder Forum provides an opportunity to discuss compendial issues related to prescription and non-prescription drugs and pharmaceutical excipients in an open forum setting.

Objectives: 
  • Provide updates on topics of interest
  • Receive stakeholder feedback
Who Should Participate: 

Pharmaceutical, excipient, food ingredient, and dietary supplement manufacturers, organizations, and service providers.
