New FCC Forum Opened December 21

The Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) Forum is available at http://forum.foodchemicalscodex.org and posted on December 21st. The FCC Forum is the free online review-and-comment site through which stakeholders and other interested parties can submit their comments on proposed additions and revisions to FCC standards and methods. As a public standards-setting organization, USP values the comments received on these proposed revisions and encourages all interested parties to review the proposals and submit comments according to the instructions in the FCC Forum.
The FCC Forum provides an opportunity for users and interested parties to review and comment on proposed changes in the following monographs and general tests:

Public Review-and-Comment Period Deadlines:
The FCC Forum is open for a 90-day comment period —until March 31, 2010. After the comment period has closed, any comments received will be reviewed by staff and then presented to the Food Ingredients Expert Committee of the USP Council of Experts for final consideration and balloting in accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts. The final standards approved by the Food Ingredient Expert Committee are published in the next FCC edition or Supplement.
