FCC Revisions, Commentary, and Errata

Revisions

Official revisions to FCC standards are published in the FCC, which includes a main edition and two Supplements. Revisions supersede any previously published content.

Commentary

Revision proposals published in the FCC Forum often elicit public comments that are forwarded to the Food Ingredients Expert Committee for review and response. Following the Rules and Procedures of the 2005-2010 Council of Experts, revision proposals can advance to publication with minor modifications, as needed, without requiring further public review. In such cases, a summary of comments is published on the USP Web site.

Errata

These are erroneously published items that do not accurately reflect the intended effective requirements as approved by the Council of Experts. Errata are typically minor changes that are fairly obvious and do not have a broad impact. Errata are not subject to notice and comment. Page number indicates where the item is found and in which effective publication. These lists will be updated periodically as necessary.
