Therapeutic Peptides and Oligonucleotides: Regulations, Standards and Quality - Call for Abstracts

We are pleased to invite you to submit abstracts for posters at Therapeutic Peptides and Oligonucleotides: Regulations, Standards and Quality to be held at the USP Meetings Center on November 4–5, 2019.

We are accepting abstracts for presentations on the following topics with respect to peptides and oligonucleotides:

  • Advances in manufacturing and purification technologies: strategies and novel methods, including green chemistry
  • Advanced technologies for characterization
  • Bridging between old and new methods
  • Alternative analytical methods to quantify and report related substances and impurities
  • Identification and characterization of impurities in raw materials, drug substances, and drug products
  • Bioassay development
  • Developing stability-indicating assays
  • Setting specification and acceptance criteria
  • Improving stability, bioavailability, half-life extension
  • Drug conjugates
  • Vaccines
  • Immunogenicity testing  
  • Structure-function studies and new targets
  • Novel strategies for formulation and delivery
  • Regulatory compliance
  • CMC strategies  
  • Comparability between generics and innovator products 

Contributed abstract/poster submission timeline

  • Submission deadline: For oral presentations by May 1, 2019. For posters, we will continue to accept poster presentations on a rolling basis (Priority review will be given for early submissions)
  • Submission deadline for Graduate Student Poster Award: June 1, 2019. One winner will receive free registration and reimbursement of travel fees and will present a short overview of their poster during the main session
  • Notification of acceptance/denial: Notification will be sent beginning in June 2019

  2. Financial considerations for approved presenters
    A complimentary workshop registration will be provided for all session speakers and graduate student poster presenters. A discounted registration fee will be offered for poster presenters. All travel costs including airfare, hotel, ground transportation, food and beverage, and any other travel related incidentals/extras are the responsibility of the session speaker or poster presenter (with the exception of the Graduate Student Poster Award winner).
