USP–China

USP–China, our second non-U.S. office and laboratory facility, opened in Shanghai in 2007. The site's staff of more than 25 scientists and customer relationship professionals are focused on building strong relationships with the regulatory agencies and industry members who comprise China’s global manufacturing base for pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, and food ingredients.

Facilities

USP–China occupies a 10,000 sq. ft. facility at the Zhangjiang High-Tech Park in Shanghai. The site houses office space and a state-of-the-art laboratory. USP–China, through USP’s global certificate, is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and the USP–China site has earned accreditation to IS0 17025:2005.

Services & Activities

USP–China supports a broad range of USP pharmacopeial and allied programs, including:

• Collaborative testing of USP Reference Standards
• Encouraging donation of monographs and Reference Standards
• Supporting distributors and managing customer relationships
• Promoting participation in USP Verification programs and providing testing services for them
• Developing and delivering Pharmacopeial Education courses

To assist Chinese customers and stakeholders, USP offers a Mandarin version of this website and sections of its bimonthly Reference Standards catalog in Mandarin. USP also provides multilingual customer service during China’s business hours.
