USP–Brazil

USP formally inaugurated its third international laboratory and office in São Paulo, Brazil, in August 2008. The site is home to more than 15 employees from the region, whose scientific and customer relationship skills have helped USP build strong working relationships with Brazilian and other regional regulators and manufacturers.

Facilities

The USP–Brazil facility occupies 18,000 sq. m. and includes both office and laboratory space.  The site is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and has earned accreditation to IS0 17025:2005.

Services & Activities

USP–Brazil supports public health in Brazil, in the region, and in the many countries to which Brazil exports pharmaceutical products by

• Collaborative testing of USP Reference Standards
• Providing direct-to-customer technical service and assistance with USP's documentary standards and reference materials
• Promoting participation in USP Verification programs and providing laboratory testing to support them
• Developing and delivering customized Pharmacopeial Education programs

To assist Brazilian and South American customers and stakeholders, USP offers Portuguese  and Spanish translations of website content as well as translated sections of its Reference Standards catalog. USP also provides multilingual customer service during Brazil’s normal business hours.
