Europe/MENA

USP opened its first office outside of the U.S. in Basel, Switzerland, in 2005. Employing a staff of 5, this office focuses on developing and managing customer relations throughout Western Europe and the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA).

Facilities

A non-laboratory facility, the Europe/MENA site's central European location offers convenient access to customers and stakeholders in the region. Through USP’s global certificate, the site is certified to ISO 9001:2008.

Services & Activities

The Europe/MENA team supports USP's global initiatives by

• Fostering collaborative customer relationships and increasing awareness of USP throughout Western Europe and MENA
• Developing and delivering Pharmacopeial Education programs
• Encouraging stakeholder participation in the development of USP documentary and physical Reference Standards

To assist regional customers and stakeholders, USP has translated portions of its Reference Standards catalog into French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic, and portions of its website into Spanish and Portuguese. USP also provides multilingual customer service during European and MENA business hours.
