USP Exchange Programs

As part of its mission to improve global health through public standards and related programs that help ensure the quality, safety, and benefit of medicines and foods, USP encourages the sharing of scientific knowledge among global organizations involved in standards-setting and the effective use of standards. To this end, USP offers two international exchange programs for staff from non-U.S. organizations:
- Visiting Scientist Program: 3–month program which provides scientists selected via a nomination process an opportunity to work with USP scientific and technical staff on a specific research-based topic related to standards development
- International Training Program: 1–2 week training session intended to equip participants with an understanding of USP’s standards-setting processes
