USP Exchange Programs

As part of its mission to promote quality medicines, foods, and dietary supplements worldwide, USP encourages the sharing of scientific knowledge among global organizations involved in standards-setting and the effective use of standards.  To this end, USP offers two international exchange programs for staff from non-U.S. organizations:

• Visiting Scientist Program: 3–month program which provides scientists selected via a nomination process an opportunity to work with USP scientific and technical staff on a specific research-based topic related to standards development
• International Training Program: 1–2 week training session intended to equip participants with an understanding of USP’s standards-setting processes
