Rules and Procedures of the 2005–2010 Council of Experts11. INFORMATION EXPERT COMMITTEE PROCEDURES11.01 Medicare Model GuidelinesThe Information Expert Committee chairs shall serve as members of the Model Guidelines Expert Committee, which shall be responsible for developing and approving revisions to the Model Guidelines and related information and documents that pertain to formularies and plan designs that may be used by prescription drug plans under the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003. The Model Guidelines Expert Committee shall adopt appropriate rules and procedures to govern its work, consistent with the provisions of the Bylaws relating to rules and procedures of the Council of Experts. 11.02 Journal ArticlesArticles to be submitted to the Annals of Internal Medicine or other journals on behalf of USP's Information Expert Committees shall be assigned to the Information Expert Committee with expertise in the subject matter of the article, who shall work with USP staff to develop the proposed article. The final content of the article shall be approved by the Information Expert Committee to which it is assigned prior to submission to the Annals of Internal Medicine or other journal. 11.03 Additional FunctionsInformation Expert Committees shall perform such additional functions and tasks as may be assigned to them from time to time under Section 3 above. |
