Nominating Committee for the Council of Experts

The USP Bylaws require that the Nominating Committee for the Council of Experts (NC–CoE) comprises 15 individuals: five Delegates (or other representatives) of Member Organizations or At-Large Members of the USP Convention; five from the Council of Experts; and five individuals outside of USP's governing bodies appointed for their particular familiarity with experts who would be qualified to serve on the Council of Experts.

The NC–CoE is formed before the membership meeting and functions as a recruiting and vetting body for potential candidates for the Council of Experts.

In the months just prior to the Convention, following a formal call for candidates, the NC–CoE meets to review the qualification of applicants and to develop the final slate of nominees for the Council of Experts election that will occur at the Convention.
