USP–NF Publication Schedule

USP–NF is an annual publication. One main edition and two Supplements are published each year. You can submit your monographs, revisions to existing monographs, or comments on proposed changes as part of the public standards-setting process for USP–NF. USP must receive your comments by the deadlines below in order to consider them for potential publication in the specified edition or Supplement. USP will continue to accept comments after the deadlines and take them into consideration for the next edition.

INTERIM REVISION ANNOUNCEMENTS

USP–NF changes that become official in between the publication dates above are published in the form of Interim Revisions Announcements that appear in Pharmacopeial Forum.

CUMULATIVE EDITIONS

USP–NF is available in print, CD, and online formats. For the CD and online formats, each new edition or Supplement integrates content from all previous editions to date.

A period of at least ninety (90) days from the date of publication will be allowed for public review and comment. The time allowed for public comments shall be noted in the publication in the PF. For good cause shown, the Chairperson may alter the time specified.
