In accordance with the Rules and Procedures of the 2005–2010 Council of Experts, the Dietary Supplements–Botanicals Expert Committee has approved the Tomato Extract Containing Lycopene Monograph Revision Bulletin. The Revision Bulletin revises the Standard solution preparation to include steps that will digest the gelatin shell on the USP Lycopene Reference Standard.

The Tomato Extract Containing Lycopene Monograph Revision Bulletin supersedes the monograph in USP 32–NF 27 until it is printed in the USP 32–NF 27 Second Supplement, which will be released June 1, 2009.
