Tazobactam: Notice of Intent to Revise

The Monograph Development: Antibiotics Expert Committee has proposed a revision to the Tazobactam monograph. Comments were received from the sponsor that the Standard preparation, Assay preparation and System suitability solution used in the Assay should be made in the Mobile phase rather than in water. The preparation instructions for these solutions have been corrected and will be published in the Pharmacopeial Forum.

It is proposed to publish the revision proposal in Pharmacopeial Forum 34(2) [March – April 2008]. In the absence of any adverse comments, this revision will become official in the First Supplement to USP 32–NF 27, with an official date of August 1, 2009.
