Notice of Correction to Ranitidine Injection

An erratum correction was published in the First Supplement to USP30–NF25 but was incorrectly presented in the electronic versions.

The Assay subsections in Ranitidine Injection were expanded from their original brief cross-references to Ranitidine Hydrochloride to present complete detailed procedures. This was necessary when the Assay in the drug substance monograph was revised and no longer applied to the related dosage form monographs.

The erratum published in table form in First Supplement to USP30–NF25 states the correction properly, but the drug substance's newly revised Assay procedures were incorrectly inserted in the electronic file for Ranitidine Injection.

We apologize for this error and provide here a corrected PDF of Ranitidine Injection  (53KB). The posting of the Second Supplement to USP30–NF25 will bear this corrected monograph.
