USP has postponed indefinitely the official date of the revisions to the Identification, Loss on drying, and Limit of potassium tests under the Sodium Chloride Monograph, which are published on page 3582 of the USP 29–NF 24. This postponement applies to the official date of the changes, April 1, 2006. All other portions of the monograph remain official. This postponement is intended to give the industry more time to comment on the proposed changes.
