General Chapter <1> Injections: Notice of Intent to Revise29 July 2009In accordance with the 2005-2010 Rules and Procedures of the Council of Experts, the Nomenclature Expert Committee intends to revise the Labeling on Ferrules and Cap Overseals section of General Chapter <1> Injections, based on continuing interest in advancing an optimal labeling standard that promotes safe medication use. The section of the General Chapter will be revised to include an intent statement to define the purpose of the standard, as well as other clarifications. USP plans to issue an "In-Process Revision" proposal in Pharmacopeial Forum 36(1) (January – February 2010) for public comment. This proposal will be pre-posted on the USP website to enable additional time for submitting comments. The Nomenclature Expert Committee requests commenters to provide data to support their comments.
